Kiyoshi Nasen Factory Ltd. is established by Kiyoshi Kato in Kamiooka Minami-ku, Yokohama
1955
The factory moves to its present address (nasen mainly for scarves)
1972
Nasen for saris (traditional Indian dress) by automated nasen machines is introduced
1987
Yoshio Kato is appointed as CEO
1989
The name of the company is changed. Kiyoshi Fabrics Co. Ltd., is established
1990
Yoshio Kato, becomes an instructor of the educational corporation, Kuwazawa Design Institute.

- Yokohama Design Co. Ltd. is established as a private brand creation company of Kiyoshi Fabrics Co. Ltd.

2007
- The 'Yokohama Furoshiki Series'is awarded the 'Ishizaka Koji Award'Grand Prix at the Twelfth Yokohama Goods, 'Yokohama 001'of Yokohama Sightseeing Convention Bureau Foundation.
- The 'Tenugui Book'is exhibited at 'Shape', Modern Japan Design at the Angewandte Kunst Museum in Frankfurt Germany.
- A successful exhibition at ecute Omiya is held.
- The 'Tenugui book'is awarded the 2007 Good Design Award as well as the Good Design Special Award
